Global Marketing Strategy
week 4 Global Marketing strategy is having a plan to sell a product in a foreign country and adapting their Marketing activity to adapt to cultural differences. One ways company's adapt to the global market is by marketing their product in the language mostly spoken in that country. For example in Canada the two main language are English and French. Out near Montreal and Ottawa their is a high French speaking population. so company's would market their goods in French in this area. However out towards Vancouver, their is a higher English speaking population, so they would market their goods in English. Along with language their is also different cultural norms, such as women give men chocolate on Valentine Day while in America it is traditionally vise versa. So a commercial involving men giving chocolate to a women in Japan would not go over so well. Company also will change their packaging or even naming in different country. let take the popular cleaning product Mr. Clean. In Mexico Mr. Clean is Maestro Limpio and in Puerto Rico; Don Limpio in Spain; Monsieur Propre. however his image remains the same.
