Mission Statements and Why They are Important
Mission statements are used by company's to give people a sense of what their company is and what they stand for. A mission statement should be clear, long term, and inspirational. They can be anything from sustainability practices, or working towards human rights. In recent years there has been a shift in political movements to make our world more sustainable and equal. Along with these movements people have began to shift away from larger corporations to supporting smaller business with a clear cause. To move with this change, larger corporations have changed and refined their mission statements to appeal to the consumer wants. People want to see how company are giving back to the world and by having company's market this, consumers are more engaged
Ben and Jerry's and their mission statement
The ice cream company Ben and Jerry's has stood out in the ice cream world by having a clear social mission on sustainability, human rights and social justice while delivering quality ice cream. By having a clear mission statement on hot social topics, people are more likely to buy their ice cream than ice cream from another franchise with no social mission.

B Good and their mission statement
B Good's mission is to make you feel good with clean and sustainably sourced food. At every B Good restaurant their is a map on the wall with the locations in which they source some of their food. They have a strong belief in doing good for their community, the planet, and food.
