How REI Promotes their Company, Credit Card, and Membership

REI is a company that specializes in selling outdoor gear, such as clothes, gear, shoes, and more. REI sells other well known outdoor brands such as Patagonia or Cotopaxi while also promoting their own products. Their stores tend to be big sometimes two floors with rows of winter clothes, summer cloths. They sell both men, women, and children clothes. They also have credit card, that give you points back on all your purchases and earns store credit after spending a certain amount of money. REI also offers a membership where you pay a one time 30$ fee for access to deals and free outdoor repairs.
To promote their company they use different techniques;
Catalogs and Emails
consumer who have shopped at REI before and signed up for a email receives emails everyday about new clothe coming in or deals. They will also send catalogs or mail promoting their credit card and membership such as sign up for the credit card today and get 20% off your first purchase.
Signs in stores
when you walk into a REI there would be signs promoting their membership and card, sometime have a QR code that will bring you to a page to learn more information about the membership.
Cashier
when checking out, the cashier may ask you if you have a membership or a credit card with REI, if you say no they would continue to talk about the credit card and try to sell it to you.
